Garden Way, Newport

Architecture Text

ERMC provided full architectural support as part of a Design and Build Contract undertaken with Spectrum Housing for the construction of three housing units on an existing derelict playground area on Garden Way, Newport.  Using traditional materials of facing brickwork and concrete roofing tiles around a timber frame construction our architects in Newport created excellent two/three bedroom housing stock. Incorporating environmentally friendly air source heat pumps to provide both hot water and space heating, rather than the conventional gas boilers, ensured a more sustainable source of heat for the present and future of the units.

Careful consideration of the design and environment delivered a scheme that fully met the Client’s brief by providing good quality social housing.
