Golden Hill Fort

The conservation of Golden Hill Fort, an historic structure once a defensible barracks, is now complete with replaced roof waterproofing and original windows and doorsets fully renovated.  Working in close liaison with the local Conservation Officer and English Heritage, the Fort has been sympathetically converted into high quality residences complete with a sloping grass berm, landscaped roof garden and minimal intervention of the historic fabric.

Winner of the 'Island Heritage Award' at the I.W. Society Conservation Awards; the 'Best Conversion to Form a Dwelling' at the LABC South East Region Building Excellence Awards and the 'Best Domestic Extension and Conversion' at the LABC National Excellence Awards.
