Tom Rudd Unit, Moorgreen Hospital

ERMC Hampshire architects were presented with a brief that consisted of major internal alterations and refurbishment of redundant spaces to provide additional accommodation. Works further entailed the demolition of an existing poor quality conservatory extension and interior rearrangement in order to better serve the Unit’s changing needs. With major internal demolitions and alterations taking place adjacent to operational departments, the works were conducted over three construction phases to ensure the rest of the Unit remained fully functional, whilst maintaining safe travel routes for both building users and visitors.

The conversion works were successfully delivered on time, within budget and with positive feedback from the end users.
